Just got my first certificate from Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) ^^ I've been studying gestalt psychology for over a year now and here's what I have to say. At first glance, it may seem that gestalt psychology has nothing to do with UX writing, which is my primary field of expertise, but that's just not true. Gestalt psychology is all about perceiving human behavior as a whole and not just focusing on different bits of actions. And that's exactly how the mind of a UX writer should perceive customer experience. Of course, when I saw this course on the platform dedicated to design, I knew I should take it. It's a nicely put journey that showcases the gestalt principles and the way one can use them to perfect one's design that in turn will result in a better customer experience. I truly enjoy this platform and can't wait to continue with another course I took recently ^^ In case you wanna join the ride and get 2 months off your yearly membership, here's a referral link: https://lnkd.in/en7nfuce Enjoy! #uxwriting #userexperience #uxdesign #webdesign #gestaltprincipals #gestaltpsychology

UX writing tip #3 Figma Docs have been the trusty tool of content designers for quite a while, but they can stop us having a seat at the table. Docs go out of date, need sharing, and cause versioning headaches. We are designers, so we should be working on content in a design file where we can. It helps us collaborate with the design team to unlock the potential of content-led design. As Mario Ferrer neatly puts it, let’s kill Lorum Ipsum. Employers want UX writers who can work in Figma as an integrated member of the design team. Trust me, it will elevate your game. It’s intuitive, functional, and powerful. Learning the basics means you can pull your content design seat right up to the table. UX Content Collective put this nifty video together on how to get started. https://lnkd.in/d3exv5B9 DZMskZCc&list=LL&index=14 Jason Fox, a cool content designer at Chime, put together some super helpful Figma tips and hacks on his Vimeo (vimeo.com/jasinfox). He's also offering an advanced Figma workshop you can take through UX Content Collective. Nice one, Jason! #uxwriting #contentdesign #figma

Head of growth at that AI company you know about || Reforge Creator || Ex-Vimeo & Bird || Sequoia 1% talent pool
2022 was the first year when I decided to write some goals for myself. It was something about completing a bunch of courses across data, product, and growth. It was about learning Spanish and French. Was about reading more books and listening to more podcasts. I also figured I'd even set the number of days-off as my personal KPI, since I have never had a vacation from the very first day I started working. Fast forward to today, I know pretty much everything about body armor. I know the difference if the armor was tested with 7.62 steel-jacketed bullets vs the same 7.62 but armor-piercing one. And the difference between these two might be a life. I also know what gortex clothes is better, the difference between 700D Cordura and 1000D, PVS7 vs PVS14 vs dual-tube and a lot more. Quite frankly, I wish I would never learn that in the first place. But I have to as many other Ukrainians around the globe. It's been exactly a month since russia has invaded my country. It's been 26 days since we launched the evacuation operations and saved thousands of lives. It's been 24 days since we started finding food, transportation, and a new house for people. It's been 20 days since I switched to getting equipment to the zero-line to those forces who need it the most. It's been who knows how many days since the best people in UA Tech community launched a fund. A fund that acts quickly. A fund that doesn't spend a single penny outside of buying gears and equipment. A fund that is so specialized in what it does that not every military person knows these things about armor as they/we do now. If you want to support Ukraine, if you want to support the peace and if you want to support all of us - I'd appreciate if you can share this post or donate to Kolo.

Yeah, I get this question just too often. Check out the article if you’re curious to know what’s the difference between Ukrainian and Russian language. ☀️ Spoiler alert: « …according to professor Tyshchenko, Ukrainian and Russian share only 62% of the vocabulary. Compare it with 84% for Belarusian and 70 % for Polish. »

When someone abroad learns that you are from Ukraine, the first question is often: “Do you speak Russian then?” No, Ukrainians speak Ukrainian”. The second question is usually: “But it is really similar to Rusian, isn’t it?” We at Preply are finally debunking this myth: https://lnkd.in/eTcdiaR8
