Check out this error message from Figma 😂 Do you think it's too bold? Rude? Just right? I think considering the audience is likely to be professional designers, the snarky tone is just right... but on the other hand, it definitely doesn't follow best practices of telling the user how to fix the issue. Do you love it or hate it? #contentdesign #figma #uxwriting #uxresearch #contentdesigner #content #uxdesign #uxwriter #userexperience #errors #figmacommunity #figmadesign
It doesn’t take into consideration the context of the user — they are working, maybe stressed, maybe under the eye of someone literally watching them work (it’s Figma, after all). Feels indulgent on the part of the UX team, and not truly helpful.
Feels like a friend to me! 😂 😂
This feels as if it's being driven by tone of voice and brand rather than user need. Someone who is already using the product doesn't need marketing copy in an error message. I like fun easter eggs in a product, but not when I'm in the middle of trying to get something done.
This is surprising coming from Figma considering how they speak so highly of their Content Design team🤔
Seems rude. The error message should define what the problem is, where is it occurred and how to solve it. Most importantly don't blame the user.
To be honest, it's black and at the bottom of the page and disappears, so sometimes I don't even have a chance to read it. I have no issues with the actual copy, but the implementation of the error message isn't great.
Seems rude and not helpful to the user in any way because it does not give any Information on how to correct the mistake. I think it could even frustrate an angry user to leave that design for a while.
I like it 😂 But it’s not helpful 😛
Not a fan personally
