A designer and copywriter walk into a UX writing team …

Come along for a chat with UX writing innovators Melissa Sepe-Johnston and JR Miller of Google Maps as they reveal how they left the world of design and copywriting for the new world of UX writing.

They’ll share stories and tips on making the transition to UX writing. They will also look at how to get stuff done as a UX writer and how to collaborate remotely. And what else? It’s up to you!

Everyone who signs up can send them questions in advance for the Q&A session at the end (last 20 minutes or so). So whether you’re a newbie trying to get into the field, or looking to advance your UX writing career, take this opportunity to learn from the pros.

Limited seats. Please note: the recording will only be sent to those who have signed up

We ask for $10 per webinar to cover expenses and pay our speakers*. (Or SAVE BIG with an annual pass for just $84 per year—only $7 per month with access to all past recordings.) But if you can’t afford it, feel free to sign up here for a free ticket.

*Melissa and JR will be donating their compensation to two nonprofits focused on helping underrepresented youth: Hack the Hood and Black Girls Code.

Very informative and useful session with real examples. For me, as someone who worked as a translator/ copy writer in Marketing before taking up a new role as UX writer, this gave me more clues of the difference between the two writing styles.

I was really impressed with conversational vibe that Ben brought. This being my first webinar with you - I was even more delighted with how all the participants were so passionate and wanting to help each other, esp in the chat.

Loved the personal experiences shared. Loved that she was so relatable and and shared mistakes, struggles, etc. It made me feel like I was on the right path, since I was able to relate to so many of the experiences she shared.
